The Olympics Bronze winning
coach Samson Siasia has given the Nigeria Football Federation a two weeks
ultimatum to pay him all his owed salaries or he will sit in the NFF’s Abuja
office until he’s paid. Siasia signed a two year contract with the NFF which
ended this summer after he led the Under 23 team to win a Bronze medal at Rio
2016 but complained that he was owed for 5 months and at even one point in time
during the Rio Olympics threatened to join his players on a strike.
“I have given them a two-week
ultimatum to me pay me or I will sit inside the NFF office in Abuja until I get
paid,” Siasia told BBC Sports. “The national team is preparing for a World Cup
qualifier and to be honest my unhealthy distractions are the last thing they
need right now.”
