Now that the report is on CNN, they are doing something about the alleged rape of IDP girls/women by security agents.
The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris has set up a special investigation panel to investigate cases of alleged sexual abuses, exploitation, harassment of IDPs against security personnel and others by the Human Rights Watch.

The Human Rights Watch in its report accused the Police, Nigerian Army, vigilante groups and camp leaders of raping young girls and women in various IDPs camps.

The Force Spokesman, Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP. Don Awunah, in a statement, said Idris was committed to the protection of all Nigerians.

He said that Idris had expressed concern over the report and had directed the panel to carry out a discreet and unbiased investigation into the alleged report.

Hope they are truly unbiased.
